Paper Rose: Gift Topper & Gift Tag

DIY paper rose gift wrapping

A simple and artful way to add a personal touch to a gift or a wedding favor is with a handmade paper rose. I made this one from an old dictionary page (the “love” section of course) by using the template I have linked below. Simply print the template on card stock, trim and trace around shapes onto your selected paper, then follow the same paper rose directions from Friday’s post. Get creative with the paper. . . love notes, sheet music, prints of your favorite poetry. . . As a final touch to your gift, Jennie designed these Valentine-inspired vintage gift tags that we have included for you on this rose template.  Happy day! Lia

I’ve just got to say ‘well done’ your creations are very elegant and beautiful. I wondering do you also supply these for sale, I think they absolutely lovely and would surely recommend to my brides.
My creations are ‘Sugarcrafted’ (edible) for Cakes and such decors and I can certainly infuse these ideas you present into such presentations.

  11. I saw you on the latenight news making a large flower to go on a Christmas gift. Could you please give me more detail on how to do it? It was very beautiful. Thank you!

  12. Lia, your designs are so beuatiful! can you tell me if you know a way to spray something on these to help them not to fray and to be able to keep them as keepsakes? would love your input! Cathy B operationblessingbrigade at gmail dot com

    • Hi Cathy, I did not spray anything on my roses. I have paper roses that are over two years old now and still look great. They seem to hold well and I live in a wet city.

  13. I love how you’ve made these flowers with text paper – they look amazing! Will have to give that a try. :)
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with the world. I’ve just discovered your blog and will most certainly be back! :)
