Paper Heart Garland
Back in December I posted some photos of my paper decorated holiday tree. One of the decorations that I wanted to share with you is how I make my paper garlands. This is a decoration you can use year-round for any occasion because you can mix and match any shape, colors, sizes and paper to create a festive touch. Today I made a Valentine inspired paper heart garland and have included a download and print heart template that you can print (front side hearts & back side stripes). Have fun! ~Lia

I am currently in a sewing class learning how to use my machine! Cannot wait to do this-does the paper have to be a certain weight or will copy paper work? The possibilities are endless!
You can use any kind of paper really! How fun! I love that sewing is becoming a thing again.
It’s a really sweet and pretty project for Valentines day! I love it!
Oh Lia! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL your printables and projects! Thank you soooooo!
You are so welcome!
Okay I am not a sewer-what do you mean by step number 5? Do you keep sewing on nothing then add the next one? Sorry- so confused
I think I missed a word on step 5. (Will fix…thanks). Yes, just keep sewing through the center of each piece to create a strand. I usually stitch a few between to give some space between the hearts/circles.
I dont own a sewing machine. Think I can just tape??
Sure. Tape or hot clue on string or a thin ribbon. :-)
This is great! I don’t have a sewing machine, so I used a hot glue gun but thanks for the templates!
Smart thinking!
Aweesome blog!
This is great. I know just the spot to do this. I’d love you to add this to my What We Wore and Made Party over at http://raegunwear.blogspot.com/search/label/WWWMW
even i can do that.. someone who doesn’t sew.. love it
